Stephen George Holland y Frederick Sherry con sede en Londres fueron los pioneros de este negocio como comerciantes de lana. Y ya en el año 1900 exportaban sus tejidos a números mercados, desde Reino Unido, hasta América del Norte y Latinoamérica. Además, poseían un almacén en San Petersburgo y una oficina de ventas en Nueva York.
Años después, en el 1982, la empresa se trasladó a Savile Row, donde actualmente permanece su sede. Hoy en día, esta compañía ha destacado frente al resto de los comerciantes de telas del mundo, hasta llegar a adquirir una veintena de compañías de lana en las últimas décadas.
